Sunday 2nd December:
An early start today off to Bromley to help out with hair and makeup for a photoshoot. 3 models, a variety of different looks required and only 2 makeup artists, it’s a tall order! The photoshoot is for a fashion magazine. We arrive at a large house on Bromley common, the house belongs to a photographer so the decor is superb! There are several outhouses, one a vintage style summer house, with some amazing props, ideal for the different style images we are trying to achieve.
I am assisting Louise today, she has several moods boards ready with numerous images and ideas of the look she wants us to create. We have 3 models from NEVS, they are great, one being the runner up of Britains next top model.
To create this 1st look I used Estée Lauder Double wear for the base to create the flawless look, then some highlighting under her eyes and contouring to emphasis her fantastic cheek bones. Then Louise created the dramatic eyebrows and eyeliner whilst I started prepping her hair. To get this look I had to straighten it poker straight, then it was tied back tight to get a completely smooth effect, for the top it was curled to the side with straighteners then the curls wrapped within each other and pinned. Then lots more pins and hair spray to secure the look.
There are some amazing photos from the shoot which I shall post shortly once the magazine has been published : )
